One of the things I was blessed with is Lipedema. My legs are very heavy and thick. They have always been extremely muscular but the more I ended up sitting for work, the worse they got.

Lipedema is a chronic condition where the fat and connective tissue builds up in your lower body, specifically the legs, hips, butt, and in some people, the arms. My issue is mainly my lower legs. I can exercise like crazy and nothing seems to affect it.

When I cleaned up my diet 6 years ago, the inflammation and swelling in my lower legs and feet did improve quite a bit. That is the good news. I thought I was just going to have to live with it. But then I found help!

My family and I went to a friend’s restaurant for dinner a few months ago and the owner shared with me her vibration plate platform that she has been using for chronic pain and inflammation. She was telling me about her experience and results and I knew I had to try it.

Unfortunately, the price for one like hers was a bit out of my budget. So I watched and waited. Finally Prime day!

Needless to say, I was excited to get it and I have been tracking my progress. Here are my thoughts.

Will a Vibration Platform Help Lipedema

The first thing I have to say is I did some research on these machines. It is said that a vibration plate will aid in weight loss, lymphatic drainage, cellulite, belly fat, back pain, and osteoporosis. I was intrigued!

I have to say it took a bit for me to get used to this vibrating plate. It is a wild feeling, I have to say. The one I purchased has 99 speed levels and I started very low so as not to tick off my body. I slowly worked my way up levels and length of time on the machine.

It is cool to feel and watch your body shake. You feel it in your muscles and I certainly feel my extra leg fat and weight shake. I feel like it is doing what is is supposed to in terms of engaging and interacting with my muscles.

I have been varying the time and speeds, slowly growing from the basic levels of 10 and 20, to now level 80 over the past 4 weeks. I also have been growing my time of the machine from 3 minutes to 10 minutes 1-2 times a day. It does take some time to grow your stamina, but it is simple to do so.

My goal is to go 10 minutes or more, a minimum of 2 times a day if not 3 times. I have been reading some sites that claim this is the best timing for weight loss, reduction of belly fat, and more. I want this!

My Results for Now:

The main thing I have noticed first off is the improvement in balance and core muscles. I have noticed a big improvement and that is huge for me! I feel much more confident with walking up and down stairs, and it’s easier to get in and out of our truck and out of chairs.

I have also noticed a reduction in the fat build-up on my upper calves and above my knee. I wish I measured properly before starting, but I see less fat shaking! lol

I am also super excited about my lower calves and feet. They are stronger and have less inflammation overall there too. I am seeing some slight improvement in cellulite on the back of my thighs.

My weight has not come down like I expected, however, I now realize that I am not spending enough time on it for that to happen. I need to get to my 2-3 times a day for that to improve. With my next check-in on this topic, I hope to report some weight loss and more fat loss all over. (I’m going to measure today for future reference!)

Check out the video of me on the machine, just for the heck of it!

Helping with Lipedema

My feelings are this in terms of lipedema and the vibration plate.

One of the cool things about this is it is engaging the muscles, which helps to burn fat, and assisting with lymphatic drainage. I love that you can do exercises on it and even use it sitting down if you are very overweight or cannot stand for long periods of time. I think most people will find some results with this tool.

I am excited to see a reduction in lipedema storage on my body, even if it is small for now. I did not get this way overnight and I know it will take me a while to see major changes. I’m okay with that and I will continue to use this cool plate.

More to come!
