Chances are, unless you have been following certain fitness groups, you may not know what rebounding is. And because of that, you may not realize how good rebounding is for your body.

A rebounder is a mini trampoline made for individual personal use. It doesn’t matter if you’re a child or an older adult in your senior years, rebounding has amazing benefits that should seriously put it on the top of your list for overall exercise.

I’ve had my mini trampoline for at least 10 years, if not longer. And I have a huge confession to make.

While I love doing it, I lack the consistency needed to make any effect on my body.

But I’m promising myself by publishing this it is going to change. I have big goals for next year and I need to get busy. And rebounding is going to be a big part of it.

But let’s get back to the benefits and why it should become an important part of your exercise routine, especially as an older adult.

Top Benefits to Rebounding for Weight Loss and Health

Some of the top benefits of rebounding include lymphatic drainage and circulation. Especially for someone like myself who carries a lot of weight in my lower body, being able to drain your lymphatic system and keep that circulation going is huge.

The lymphatic system is organs and tissues that are grouped together that protect your body from infection and balance the fluids in your body. So if you’re prone to any type of inflammation, a mini trampoline is one of the answers to your prayers.

Another top benefit of rebounding is your cardiovascular health, of course, since you are working your heart with increased cardio.

Weight loss is a top benefit. Digestion and cellulite reduction are going to occur.

With the cardio, you’re also adding oxygen to your tissues and improving the detoxification of your entire system. You also will see improvement with your muscles joints, bones, and so many more impacts on your body.

Tips for Seniors or Weight Loss

As a mature adult, you need to understand how important it is that our tissues, muscles, and bones are strong and healthy and we have good balance as well. This helps you move better, feel better, and be self-sufficient much longer in life.

If you’re overweight, and you are not sure if you can handle the bouncing and jumping, you can even start rebounding by sitting down on the trampoline and bouncing that way. You can sit and place your feet on the rebounder and start that way.

You can also purchase rebounders or mini trampolines, whatever you wanna call them, that include handles so that you have something to hold onto as you start the movements.

Rebounder Exercises

Using a mini trampoline can be an intense workout as depicted in the image. I wish in my area we had this type of workout available. Maybe it would help me improve my overall health faster than what I should be doing, and what I am doing.

But you can create your exercise routine, very easily with different movements, different heights of jumping, fast-paced, slower-paced, etc.

You can check out YouTube for videos or look for online exercises that you can easily incorporate into your rebounding session.

You can start with a few minutes a day, multiple times a day, and work your way up to 15, 20, and 30-minute sessions which is where your fat-burning will kick in.

Looking at these top benefits for rebounding, especially for weight loss and aging adults, it’s an easy and inexpensive way to kickstart your health journey to take back control of your life.

Rebounders are not necessarily expensive. You can find a great assortment on Amazon or through other Websites that are rated by weight so that you can choose the best one for you and your family.

PS: they’re a wonderful outlet for kids and a great way to help them stay in shape and burn that excess energy too!
