I have to say sometimes you don’t you know you’re doing a good thing until you stop doing it.
As you know, I post about a lot of different eating plans as I’m trying to find the one that will work with my screwed-up metabolism. I always get to a certain place and then I stall for months at a time. I’ve even plateaued for one entire year. Talk about frustrating.
My body is just so so screwed up. It is painful and makes me just want to cry some days.
For the past few months, I’ve been trying out different plans like taking a dive into carnivore, which I actually enjoy, but I lost exactly 0 pounds. I did move a little fat around but no weight loss. I absolutely have to have weight loss. It’s just not optional at this point.
What I have learned through this is that overall what works best for me is just mainly raw foods, like my fat-ass salads, and super low-carb, high-protein foods.
I feel the best doing that and I have been staying decently consistent with intermittent fasting. But I have been eating two meals a day instead of one which means I’ve actually gained weight over the past 3 months. Makes me sick to have to resort to extremes to lose a freaking pound, but that is where I am.
Bring on The Salads
So I’m back to my ridiculously gigantic salads. They seem to work well because of the fiber in the salads. I add beans, celery, carrots, cabbage, cheese, cucs, and whatever else I can fit in there.
This time around I am definitely focusing more on the protein so I don’t experience hair loss, but I am cutting my two meals back down to one meal a day with the shortest window. I can do basically 23 hours of fasting. Or even a 4-hour eating window if I eat late afternoon and be done by 6 pm.
So we will see how this goes again, but I’m done playing around. I’m just so freaking tired of it all. I don’t understand why my body refuses to release the weight. I’m just tired! lol!
Today’s Gigantic Salad Layering
Today I made a special trip to the store to get stocked up again and went for it! Prepped the veggies, cooked the meat and beans, and off we went.
The beans are not the type I usually get but they were okay. They did have enough sauce to become my “dressing”. I added a bit of chili powder and a few shakes of red pepper to them for a bit of a kick. Then I layered in the coleslaw and other veggies.
I have to say, it was delicious and flavorful! I might have missed these! LOL
So here’s to the salads! May we love them and always have lots of variety so we don’t get bored.
