Intermittent Fasting With One Meal A Day using Really Big Salads

So over the past few weeks, I’ve been sharing some of my posts about this new eating plan. It’s pretty radical but I felt I really needed that control in my life.

This plan is based on keto and intermittent fasting which has been proven more and more to really help with fat loss. And I’m sure you’ve heard all about that type of eating plan with maybe eight-hour eating window or a six-hour eating window. Maybe even a four-hour eating window.

The one I am on is structured with eating in a one hour window. Yes, like I said it’s radical. But the amount of food I consume in a balanced manner allows my body to digest and rest.

On my Instagram, I share a lot of pictures of what I’ve been eating lately. This plan, called Eat Like a Bear by Amanda Rose, is based on salads. Gigantic salads.

I have shared a few pictures and recipes with you lately but I just wanted to kind of share my thoughts about this whole process.

I felt not in control due to eating times. My husband loves to eat late and my body just can’t deal with that.

It’s just us at home for the most part now except for guests every so often. So cooking is an issue which means we would resort to easy cook meals or takeout of some sort.

I was just sick of it and no matter what I did I could barely lose weight let alone stick to a plan. So when I found this I thought I can do this.

Is my husband annoyed? Sometimes. Is he ready to make a change? No, which is why I needed to take control of my own self.

How can you eat a salad every day?

Well, two things about that.

First, my salads are never the same every day. They’re loaded with protein and fats and all different kinds of vegetables. I even include garbanzo beans and kidney beans for additional fiber too. If you are strict keto, then no on those. But I like them and need them.

Second, I also make hot meals 2 to 3 times a week at least which is a combination of vegetables, fats, and proteins. It’s filling and satisfying and honestly, I do not feel hungry for the 23 hours I fast.

What are my results?

My belly has been shrinking day after day and I am so thankful for that. I’ve lost 14 pounds in 14 days. I did go out to dinner twice this week so I did gain a little bit back but it’s already coming off so new update next week with that new weight.

Is this sustainable?

I sure as hell hope so. I feel great. I can move so much better. I am not hungry. I food prepped all of the meals I had so I have no excuse. I don’t have to think about what I’m eating. It’s just a combination of what’s already cooked and prepped in the fridge. I absolutely love it.

Intermittent fasting with one meal a day?

It’s working for me. Many other people in this community plan that I’m in eat within a six or four hour window. But the one hour window? It’s OK for me.
