I never thought I would say this in my life. however. I eat a lot of cauliflower. Especially now that it is in the small rice-like nuggets. You don’t get that overwhelming cauliflower taste. Plus, it’s so easy to cook and enjoy.
Being on the Eat Like a Bear program and consuming a lot of the ridiculously big salads, I also incorporate hot meals once or twice a week into my plan. I usually do a mixture of vegetables so cauliflower rice has become a staple.
Checking Out Flavored Cauliflower Rice
Couple weeks ago I saw some flavored cauliflower rice so I thought I would give it a shot. It’s the same size bag as the Green Giant brand that I usually get and it sounded really good.
The flavor I tried was the White Cheddar with Black Pepper. Nothing was different about it and it tasted the same as my other brand. The big difference it’s more than double the cost!! WHAT?
It had good flavor. The amount of cheddar was sufficient, if that’s the way you like your cheese. I, of course, had to add more. But other than that I really could not tell anything different from the brand I was already buying.
Because of the fact that I do always have 3 to 5 bags in my freezer at any time, I think I can save quite a bit of money by sticking to the brand that I already buy. It’s kind of a no brainer on this one.
Let’s face it, it’s simple to add cheese to your cauliflower rice and add anything else that you may want to your hot meal, such as broccoli, spinach, assorted vegetables, and like me, I added some scrambled eggs.
It’s quite delicious and extremely filling. So give it a try next time you’re in the mood for some thing different.
