I have read so many witchy books lately, but I was still looking forward to this new release as it has a wonderful twist of clandestine characters which I thought would be fabulous!

OVERVIEW:
Savannah Wilde is a witch, a very powerful one―an identity that only her fellow witches know. Following a whirlwind romance that surprised herself and her family, Savvy is all set to marry the love of her life. But she isn’t the only one with a secret that needs to be kept, even from her soon-to-be husband.

Griffin Carter is a top agent for a clandestine organization that, well, used to primarily hunt witches, but now mainly tries to shut down supernatural threats their own way. He can’t wait to lay his eyes on the woman he’s about to spend the rest of his life with.

As Savvy walks down the aisle to Griffin, the wedding quickly goes from blessed day to shit show when their true identities are revealed. To say there’s bad blood between their factions is putting it mildly. Savvy and Griffin are tasked to take the other out, but when they discover a secret that could take down both of their agencies, they realize the only way to survive is to team up. With assassins hot on their trail, will Savvy and Griffin make it out alive to try again at ‘I do’?

Mr. & Mrs. Witch by Gwenda Bond Review

I was so looking forward to this book! I love the fun plots that the authors dream up surrounding the witchy themes.

This story started with their bang up meeting and the insta feelings that you know are strong. The characters are wonderful and well matched. I really loved Griffin’s tender heart.

A dream wedding that then comes crashing down. That’s what made me a bit sad. Do they not love each other all of a sudden because of who they are and the chaos surrounding them everywhere? After all, they both have secrets not shared.

Then there is the bouncing between then and now that somewhat lost my interest. Strange happenings that don’t make a whole lot of sense to me. I never got the full reason for the hit on them as it seemed weak. Some of the supporting characters bugged me

While the connection between the two of them did have its pull throughout, some pieces of this story seemed overly fantastical, like Bond was trying too hard. She lost me in many areas.

Overall, Mr. & Mrs. Witch is a fun read if you enjoy fantasy with a romantic twist. For me, I wish it was the other way around.

3 STARS!
