Low Carb Fruits You Can Enjoy

I’m not going to lie. Going low-carb can be really tough. Especially if you love fruits. However, I think there’s a misconception about low-carb foods and fruits. One of those misconceptions is that you cannot eat fruit and that simply isn’t true.

While most fruits have a load of carbs, there are some fruits that aren’t really considered fruits at all. Berries are the exception to this low-carb rule. In fact, berries are one item that you can include in your low-carb diet very easily and to the benefit of your diet as well.

As you know berries are loaded in vitamins, minerals and nutrients that your body needs especially when you are cutting carbs. Strawberries, Blueberries, Raspberries, Blackberries, Cranberries, and Gooseberries all top the berry list because of their fiber and low sugar content. Apples, Grapefruit, Watermelon, and even Peaches are considered low carb.

I eat my fruits early in the morning by adding a few berries to my breakfast which for me is the easiest way to incorporate them into my diet. Enjoying some fruits are okay in a low carb lifestyle. Just check the sugar and fiber content to make sure it is within your range of sugars for the day. That’s what I do!
