The worst part about juicing everyday is the prep. If you choose do clean and prepare your fresh veggies everyday, the chances that you will choose not to juice that day goes up. I learned rather quickly that I have to prep my veggies ahead of time so that I remove any and all excuses for not juicing.
Once I get home from the store, I make sure to start cleaning and bagging my veggies. I shared a post the other day about my hubby going low carb and in that post you can see what my shelf in the fridge looks like…. all prepped, cleaned and ready to juice. Just add any fruits, if that is what I choose for that day.
I usually stick to the same types of veggies to juice and then change the flavor and mixture a bit with added items.
My staples for juicing are:
Cucumbers
Petite Carrots
Celery
Spinach
Kale
These are great for rich vitamins and cleansing capabilities.
Some of the items that I keep on hand to add to my juices are:
Apples
Blueberries
Raspberries
Mandarin Oranges
Pineapple
Bok Choi
Swiss Chard
Chia Seeds
Beets
greek yogurt
and other fresh veggies as I see them in the store.
Having several things on hand fresh or frozen really helps add some flavor and interest to the same old thing.
Here is a typical Juice Recipe that I use often for you to try.
