Green smoothies have the distinct impression to most people that they are bitter and hard to get down. However, I have been experimenting with recipes and have found a tasty combination of ingredients that will leave your taste buds almost smiling! Here are one of my favorite blends that you can try!

Fresh and Healthy Green Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:

* note – the ingredient list does not contain many quantities because it is up to you to add as much as you choose.

Handful of Kale
Handful of Spinach – or choose a blend of greens that includes both along with swiss chard, etc.
Cucumber
Celery
Carrots
Fresh Pineapple
1/2 cup of Fresh Pineapple or Orange juice
Filtered Water

Directions:

In a Nutribullet or similar high-speed extractor, add all ingredients to the line and blend until liquefied. Down the hatch!

I drink a healthy veggie juice like this daily. It helped kick start some great weight loss. It helps to cleanse out your system and it gets all of the nutrients you may be missing right into your body. I do not find these bitter because the pineapple or oranges really helps to cut the bitter taste. Give it a try!
