I don’t know about you, but for me some days it’s tough to eat breakfast at 6:30 in the morning.
Most days I’m not hungry that early but I know I have to eat something before I go to work. Plus, my body likes starting the morning with food.
So I try to keep it simple that early as well and I usually resort to some eggs, maybe a piece of whole-grain bread or two. But one of my favorite go to breakfast’s is very simple breakfast cereal of sorts.
Fast and Easy Low Carb Breakfast or Snack Recipe
I shared it with you before quite a while ago, and I still enjoy it as much as possible. It’s simply made with:
ingredients:
1 cup or so of your favorite cottage cheese
15 to 20 whole almonds raw
a handful or two of blueberries or strawberries
That’s it!
This combination is super filling; I usually get close to four hours out of it before I get hungry. Plus, it’s loaded with low carb high protein goodness.
This is perfect for breakfast or a midday snack, late afternoon snack; whenever you want to enjoy it. I usually always keep the ingredients on hand so I can have it anytime I need it.
Some people may think it sounds kind of gross. It is is a weird combination, but when you eat everything together it really is tasty. This “breakfast cereal“ was originally created by Lynn Terry, The Low-carb Traveler, and I’ve been enjoying it for a while.
If you need a quick go to breakfast or snack, give it a try.
