Farmers Market Finds During Covid

Farmers Market Finds During Covid

I realized that I have not posted a Farmers Market Find in sooo long that I really needed to remedy that. Even during a virus shutdown we can still get fresh foods!

Here, where I live, the Organic Farmers Market is open all year long. I am lucky to live in an area that can grow and support so many different type of produce, fruits, and even meats. So I headed out to see what freshness I could find that I needed this week.

Unfortunately, there are many vendors that have chosen not to display and sell their goods. I wonder what they are doing with the produce they are growing? Are they selling it only from their farms? Are they throwing it out?

I was late in arriving (after 10) so I was only able to score a few things that I wanted. There were tons of greens, but I didn’t need any. The carrot lady was sold out. Sad indeed! I love those! There even had a mushroom vendor! I need to go when my hubby is making his mushroom soup.

Today I just got a couple of things. Some amazing radishes and oranges. Blood oranges and regular ones. I am going to make my own fresh juice.

Does your area have a fresh market you can support or shop? What goods can you get there?
