It’s been a while since I’ve done a face-to-face comparison. The last time I did it was when I was eating low-carb. Not that I ever gave up eating that way, I just stopped trying so damn hard.
Now that I am mainly keto with intermittent fasting, I am really happy with the results. So I thought I’d share with you today a little bit about what I’m doing.
Face to Face Friday: Current Progress
Over the past several weeks I’ve been giving you some updates on my meals, my ridiculously big salads. And I still I’m only eating one meal a day with a 23 hour fast.
Now I know that sounds extreme, and it is for many people, but it seems to be working just fine for me. The hard part isn’t me missing food; it’s other people’s expectations that I’m supposed to eat which is the tough part.
While I would love to eat dinner with my husband and eat some of the things he’s eating, the reality is he never eats early enough for me, and the things we like to eat are put me in this position to begin with.
I believe this is my sixth week, but I’m down about 18 pounds. I’ve been flip-flopping back-and-forth between a few pounds for the last two weeks. This week I’ve really made some good progress and I can see the change in my face and my body more so than what the scale was saying.
So here’s my face-to-face Friday. The lighting on the second picture makes my hair more gray looking and me older looking. Yikes! But it is what it is! I’m happy to see some results. I have a lot of energy. And I’m happy not having to worry about eating or making bad food choices. Now all I need to worry about is getting more exercise.
I’ll worry about that next week.
