Going through menopause and getting older really reeks havoc upon your weight. You can’t lose it. I look at something I’m not supposed to have and gain 3 pounds.

I should’ve listen to those women who said make sure you lose the weight before you’re 40 because honestly, trying to do it now, it’s just a nightmare.

I was a bit inspired by a new book that is written by two women who have been through the midlife crisis. The EatLiveThrive Diet is a lifestyle plan to rev up your midlife metabolism.

So you can see why I was encouraged. Two women who’ve been there done that actually found success… I knew I had to review this book. Check out my thoughts below.

ABOUT:
Eat, Live, Thrive Diet shows women how they can not only lose excess body fat permanently but also improve their overall health in critical areas such as brain function, resistance to disease, slowing down external aging, and increasing energy. This highly effective eating plan is presented in a compassionate voice by two experienced health coaches who share personal experiences of battling weight and emotional eating issues. In addition to minimizing sugar intake, the plan emphasizes the importance of short-term intermittent fasting–a simple lifestyle change that makes it easier and more effective for many mature women to reach their health and weight loss goals.

The book also highlights health risks and drawbacks of many popular fad diets that can be harmful on a long-term basis.

Key content from this inspiring lifestyle plan includes:

• Three-phase plan:

* The Elimination Phase – temporary elimination of several key foods known to promote insulin resistance and cause allergies, sensitivities, and inflammation
* The Discovery Phase – determine which foods are troublesome for you

What was encouraging about this plan and the book is that it is a roadmap to everything we need in our life; diet exercise, nutrition, even the right attitude, and prayer.

The authors talk a lot about how to make the program work for you, the power of self talk, thinking positive and cheering for your own dang self.

The diet plan itself is a combination of several different plans that we see out in the market today. Intermittent fasting plus going through the elimination foods process to see what truly our body does not tolerate. This helps reduce inflammation and allows you to put in your body only what you will get good results with.

They also talk about using cleansing drinks specific for this plan as well as supplements that our body may need.

The main goal is to create a sustainable lifestyle eating plan. Sustainable means that it’s something you can easily follow to achieve success.

Each person will be a bit different because of the type of food you can tolerate and the amount of calories you can deal with.

There are some foods that we would have to remove completely. Some foods you can eat occasionally for special occasions and then other foods that you definitely will need to improve an increase in your diet plan.

What I like about this plan is that it allows for everything. You’re allowed to have specific proteins; unlimited vegetables. You’re allowed to have starches and nuts; healthy fats, fruits and dairy. The only things that you’re restricting are the things that your body does not do well with.

Sugar and white flour are definitely out. But they’re out in every diet that you see for the most part. The good thing is is that you can create and craft your entire eating plan to your specifications. That makes it so much more certain that you can be successful.

They even have worksheets and other tools that you can find on their website to help you stay on track and progress. There is a whole community over there with assistance to be successful.

EatLiveThrive Diet offers so many tips and that you can use to make sure this is the final diet you’ve ever worked on. It truly is a complete lifestyle change that you can live with.
