Chronic pain is debilitating in many ways for people. I’ve had some in the past due to back and neck issues from multiple car wrecks. But thankfully, through chiropractic care, a lot of it was relieved.
My mother-in-law had chronic pain for years. Some days, I don’t know how she even functioned.
I know a lot of other people who have chronic pain, my son, for one. He has low Vit D and is experiencing joint pain, knee pain from old injuries, and more. I attribute some of it to low D and B12.
As we age into midlife and after menopause, all of a sudden, weird things start hurting randomly. It’s like “where did that twinge come from?” “Ouch! What does that mean?” Even my friend, who’s extremely active, was commenting the other day on how she’s getting random pains.
The topic of pain relief for chronic pain is hot right now. I feel so many people are trying to avoid automatically taking a prescription. We want natural or alternative remedies that will help us in the long run.
I was sent this book for review, and it’s actually written in a fabulous layout that makes it super easy to consume. Very quick to find what you need to do and what something may mean to your body.

PAIN RELIEF in 4 Simple Steps by Jacob Teitelbaum M.D.

The doctor has focused on things like understanding your pain, the four key types of pain, and how to treat them. My favorite is “recipes” for common types of pain, along with other treatments. And then, he finishes off with how to become pain-free through different methods.
What’s great about this book is that he’s addressing the causes and the relief options. There is not a lot of story time or fluff, which allows you to get exactly what you need when you need it.
So if you think you’ve tried everything, this might be a book to check out. Sometimes, doctors only treat the pain itself, but don’t treat the cause. Or maybe they’re addressing inflammation and masking the pain with meds.
Dr. Teitelbaum breaks it down easily for us to consume. Honestly, it’s a quick read but extremely informative.
About Vitamin D
Think about this quote the publicity company sent over – “Vitamin D deficiency, in particular, is implicated in a wide range of health conditions, and research shows that it may help reduce chronic pain, menstrual pain, diabetic nerve pain, metabolic syndrome and diabetes, obesity, and even heart attack risk,” he says. “A Johns Hopkins study that followed 13,000 subjects over a 12-year period found that low levels of Vitamin D correlated with a 26 percent increase in early death.”
“Therefore,” Dr. Teitelbaum advises, ”for those in perimenopause and for everyone, it’s good to get 1,000-2,000 units of vitamin D per day. And since 90 percent of our vitamin D comes from sunshine, get out in the sun. Avoid sunburn, not sunshine!”
