I have a blast from the past for you today. I’m sure you remember as a little girl playing in your mother’s make up or even your grandmother’s make up growing up.
I remember always seeing big jars of cream and powders sitting out on the dresser at my grandmothers home and in the bathroom at my house, of course.
As I get older I’ve come to realize a few things about the generation of women that’s come before us. Even though we have all of the technology and science behind staying younger looking today, the older generation probably knew a little bit more than we did about taking care of their skin.
Face Powder For Middle Age Wrinkles
I try to keep as many chemicals off my face as possible. I’ve written before how I’ve only really use oil on my face now as a moisturizer. Couple weeks ago I was in the drugstore looking for cream foundation, which right now is I’m not able to find, much to my annoyance.
I was talking to the beauty clerk and I was telling her I wanted something to help with my wrinkles which is why I wanted the cream foundation. And she said showed me what a lot of women have been buying.
Much to my surprise I saw this exact product for years on my grandmother’s make up counter. Coty has been a name that’s been around since 1935. But this product is still around!
Airspun Loose Face Powder is an ultra smooth powder that hides tiny lines, wrinkles, and blemishes. You can use it to set your make up or use it as a base and then put your foundation on top of it, if you choose. I happen to love the smell of it, spicy not floral, not to mention the superfine consistency.
I got the Translucent Extra Coverage number 070-41. This ultra fine powder is light as air and you simply pat it on your face wiht the perfect puff included. My makeup goes on beautifully, lasts a long time, and it’s fine enough to use above or under your foundation. Perfect for menopausal wrinkles and skin!
I don’t know about you but I do what I can to try to reduce the signs of aging and this face powder is a beautiful way to help me do that by working on all those fine lines and wrinkles, plus giving me a beautiful finish to my makeup.
So there you go. My beauty tip for the day. Sometimes older products are just as good and even more affordable than some of the newer stuff in the stores. I think this was like seven bucks! Can’t beat that and a little goes a long way!!
