6 Quick Tips to Live a Healthier Lifestyle Painlessly
1. Cut Out Fast Foods
When people think about living a healthy lifestyle, they often think this means eating nothing but greens and drinking exclusively water. However, getting on the right track consists of small steps in the right direction, and for many people, this is as simple as just cutting out fast food and processed foods from the supermarkets.
It is not as hard as you think to eat fresh. Number 5 below will help!
2. Protect Your Skin
It’s recommended that you use sunscreen every day, even if the sun isn’t out. In order to make this easier, buy moisturizer which has SPF15 or higher. For those who wear makeup, you can buy foundation, BB cream and primers which have sun protection in them too.
I always look for mineral based sunscreen to lessen the amount of chemicals on my skin. Plus natural soaps too!
3. Drink More Water
If you don’t drink water during the average day, start by drinking just one large glass a day. If you struggle to drink plain water, consider adding a few drops of fresh lemon juice or investing in a water bottle which is fruit infused. Gradually build up to drinking two liters of water per day. Your skin and body will thank you for it!
4. Take The Stairs
Not everybody has the time to fit in regular exercise every day, but small changes when it comes to your activity can help you to live a healthier lifestyle. Take the stairs up the office, and if it’s a long way to go, take one of two flights of stairs and then take the elevator the rest of the way.
Go to the next bus stop along to get a few extra minutes of exercise into your routine, or just make an effort to stand up from your desk more often. Walk the parking area during breaks.
5. Plan Meals in Advance
This can help you to save money as well as get on the right track to a healthier lifestyle. At the start of the week, or before you go shopping for food, make a list of potential meals and on which days you would like to eat them. Buy food containers and refrigerate healthy leftovers to get a second meal out of them.
6. Stretch Every Morning
Don’t underestimate the value of stretching your body and helping yourself to stay flexible. The main reason why people start to feel stiff and full of aches quite early on in life is often down to a lack of movement.
This is particularly important if you spend most of the day sitting down in an office or you suffer with joint pain. Gently stretching every morning is a habit which will help you in the long term.
