I’ve been battling pain and injury the last month. For some reason my sciatica has been acting up in a horrible way and left me with a lot of pain everyday. Hard to sleep, hard to walk around, and even hard to do my normal exercise routine. They say that the best way to get rid of your sciatica pain is through exercise but when you’re in pain it’s hard to follow that too. One thing that does work well for me with sciatica is walking so I was really excited to be able to reveal a new DVD from Leslie Sansone. She’s always a great person to follow when you want to get some movement in but can’t do a full routine like you normally do or to get started for a new you in 2016.

CHOOSE TO WALK 1, 2 OR 3 FITNESS MILES!

In mile one you’ll start with an easy warm up walk and then quickly progress to our classic Walk at Home moves. If you want a lean, flat tummy, this is your mile. You will learn how easy it is to engage your core and get your “middle” muscles working while you walk!

Mile number two starts out brisk and keeps the speed you need for a higher burn. Plus you’ll learn moves that sculpt the “walking” muscles of the lower body.

In mile three, you will love the added energy that short “boosts” give the workout! Just walk for a few beats, then BOOST for a few beats and repeat. It’s a great way to increase your fitness level and speed up your results! In addition, you’ll learn some upper body moves that are a simple but effective way to tone up your arms, back and chest muscles.

My Thoughts about Walking Off the Pounds

One of the things I love about this DVD is the breakdown of the three different miles. You’re able to choose to do one mile, two miles, three miles, whatever your body can handle and at this point with my muscle issue, I was only really able to handle 1 mile at a time. But I could do that several times a day, which is cool to do too.

Just like Leslie’s other workouts, this one offers multiple people to follow. She’s always having a great time and the music is fabulous in this one too so your miles really just click by without even really realizing like you’re exercising. Plus, she incorporates many of her traditional moves like kickbacks, leg kicks, side steps, along with her typical normal stretching and moving in this DVD. I really love the new movements she adds to this one too!

The best part of this DVD is definitely the music. It’s fun and uplifting and it really helps you work through your workout fast even if you are sore, tired, or cranky and don’t want to do it! The pace is fabulous and I love how she slowly ramps it up. You don’t start out fast, but you gradually work up a good pace to get a great workout in. Plus the cool down at the end of mile 3 is fabulous! I will sometimes start with that to warm up if I am feeling especially tight.

Another fabulous part about this workout is the segment on Abs and Back. This is a separate floor exercise that stretches your body. I am not great on the floor and can do just a few minutes of these at this point, but it does feel so awesome! I am always working towards flexibility in my back!

Leslie Sansone is the queen of the walking DVD. She really puts her heart and soul into creating fun workouts that doesn’t make it seem like you’re working out. These DVDs are great to have one especially during winter when it’s hard to get outside. You can even download and stream them right through your computer as well and so that you can take it on the road you don’t have to worry about remembering to bring your DVD with you. You can run it through any of your mobile devices. So she’s taking away any excuse that we may come up with for not doing our work out. (Amazon has this feature on many of her dvd’s, including this one too!)

Well Leslie is taking away any excuses for not exercising once again. This DVD is loaded with great workouts, stretching and an even includes some testimonials to inspire you.
