I am hitting the road this coming week and I always get a bit nervous when I am on plan because I know myself well! I tend to lose track of my goals and end up gaining weight.
So planning and prepping for my trip is definitely something that I have to do to ensure that I have a successful trip and come back happy and not sad!
Travel Prep for a Successful Trip
One of the things I do worry about is eating one meal a day. So I am not going to stress out and just allow myself to eat two times a day, if I need to. I know being out of my control element is going to be tough. But what I can make sure to do is stay away from carbs and sugar. That I can control!
Last time I took a trip I did really well. I packed good high protein items, and mostly, I will give myself grace. I refuse to beat myself up for any slip-ups.
I love traveling and this trip is going to be very special. I think we have to remember that traveling does not have to be about food. We tend to make it that way and give ourselves the license to eat whatever. I am not allowing that!
Thankfully, my family is very supportive and they are making adjustments to the meal options for me. I know I have it down!
My shopping list includes Jerky and Walnuts if I simply cannot make it to my next meal!
