The Wife He Needs by Brenda Jackson: Review

The Wife He Needs by Brenda Jackson cover

There are some romance tropes that we seem to see over and over again. The story is one of a favorite thread in which the millionaire/billionaire needs a wife.

I’ve read a few of Jackson’s books so far and she manages to capture my attention, just like with this one. Read on for my full review.

About:

He desires her more than any other woman.

But falling in love isn’t part of the plan.

The arrangement is simple: a two-week getaway, then a marriage of convenience. Until Garth Outlaw’s potential bride is a no-show. Now, family pilot, Regan Fairchild is sharing his bed—and he can’t get enough…even though he’s vowed never to love again. Can Regan convince him the wife he needs and the woman he desires are one and the same?

The Wife He Needs by Brenda Jackson Review

Even though this story has a familiar plot, Jackson manages to add her special twists to really envelop the reader. For one the main characters happen to know each other extremely well and both actually have crushes on each other, but who knew! Keeping it professional is mandatory!

It’s fun to watch them slowly come in to the realization that they could and would be a great fit and are actually perfect for each other.

While we know about her heated crush since she was a teenager, it seemed a bit abrupt with Garth’s realization or admittance of the fact he has been infatuated for years. But once he admitted it to himself and opened that door, he became very upfront and embraced a seemingly short relationship with Regan.

The Wife He Needs is easy to read with minimal angst! Just missing that special touch and better flow in some spots.

With a fabulous exotic locale we get to experience plus some hot and spicy connections between the two, this story is perfect to warm us up on a chilly winter’s day.
