The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren: Review

The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren

I have to say that I think I have read and reviewed at least 19 of the 26 books this writing team has written. I can also say that I enjoyed almost all of them as well.

I got addicted to the Beautiful Bastard series with the big group of friends, but I am really loving the one-off contemporary stories they are crafting now. Always hilarious and just a blast to read; I was so looking forward to this new release.

Here are my thoughts.

ABOUT:
Olive Torres is used to being the unlucky twin: from inexplicable mishaps to a recent layoff, her life seems to be almost comically jinxed. By contrast, her sister Ami is an eternal champion . . . she even managed to finance her entire wedding by winning a slew of contests. Unfortunately for Olive, the only thing worse than constant bad luck is having to spend the wedding day with the best man (and her nemesis), Ethan Thomas.

Olive braces herself for wedding hell, determined to put on a brave face, but when the entire wedding party gets food poisoning, the only people who aren’t affected are Olive and Ethan. Suddenly there’s a free honeymoon up for grabs, and Olive will be damned if Ethan gets to enjoy paradise solo.

Agreeing to a temporary truce, the pair head for Maui. After all, ten days of bliss is worth having to assume the role of loving newlyweds, right? But the weird thing is . . . Olive doesn’t mind playing pretend. In fact, the more she pretends to be the luckiest woman alive, the more it feels like she might be.

The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren Review

If you are a fan of enemies-to-lovers romances, you have to read this book. Hilarious from the get-go, the authors just nail the witty, snarky conversations that make this such a delight to read.

They say there is a fine line between love and hate and in this book, we find that line. Thrown together to help their respective siblings, you can’t help but laugh out loud in spots at their uncomfortable situation with each other.

But hey, they get a free vacation! What could go wrong??? Only so many things!

One of my favorite skills these authors show is the ability to write in such a fashion that you A) cannot stop reading B) fall in love with the characters and C) close the cover with a smile and a big sigh…

Olive and Ethan are a perfect pair and The Unhoneymooners is a highly addictive read loaded with sweet heat, a sexy hottie, funny scenes and conversations that make this story a must-read. A 5 Star story that cannot be missed!

Another funny, touching, amazing read. God, I love this team! That are just so good!
