I started wearing moisturizer at 21 years old. That may seem kind of early for most people. However, I was a sun worshiper and I still kind of am, I have to admit, although I am a lot more careful when outdoors.
So when I was 21, I started seeing all kinds of laugh lines and crinkles around my eyes and that scared me. Not to mention that I also had drier skin on my face. So I went to the make up counter and found the best moisturizer I could find. From that day on moisturizer has been a staple in my beauty routine. I don’t think a day has gone by that I have not used some type of moisturizer.
That’s not to say all moisturizers are alike. In fact, they are far from alike. I look for certain things in my moisturizer because of the needs for my face. I definitely stay away from lotions. My face just soaks it in and it really doesn’t do anything for me. Since my skin is so dry, I need something heavier and something that’s going to help repair and protect my skin too.
I love the products from StriVectin. There’s a new item in town called the Repair and Protect Moisturizer. It offers a 30 SPF broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection which is something we all need to include on our face.
This moisturizer was created to help fight wrinkles by reducing the appearance with collagen and elastin and which are vital components of your skin. Plus it also protects your face with the SPF 30. Not to mention the beautiful light texture that gives amazing hydration.
I love the fact that it’s not heavy or greasy and not sticky at all. Plus, it absorbs quickly so I can put my make up on quickly too and it applies beautifully over the StriVectin Repair and Protect Moisturizer SPF 30.
It doesn’t take much to make me a happy camper when it comes to my beauty routine. Sweet and simple with just the basics, that for me includes an awesome moisturizer, just like this one, and my mascara. I save the full make up for when I leave the house. Life is beautiful that way and at my age I love seeing healthy skin from beautiful products, plenty of water, healthy foods, and activity.
