Savage Burn by Lisa Renee Jones: Review

Savage Burn by Lisa Renee Jones

As you probably know I’m a huge proponent of this authors work. So I’m always excited to be able to review her new stories.

This book is part of a trilogy and I’m looking forward to finishing the series. This book is book 2, Savage Hunger is book 1, which I also reviewed a few months ago.

The Kindle/ebook is due to release February 18th but the paperback is out now, so check out my thoughts below.

Savage Burn by Lisa Renee Jones

ABOUT:
The second book in the Savage Trilogy…My name is Rick Savage but they call me Savage for a reason. But savage that I am, there is only one woman who can tame the beast in me, one woman who sees the real man. I loved Candace. I lost Candace. Now my enemies have targeted her. For this, they will not survive. I’m back home to save her and win her back, no matter what the cost.

Savage Burn by Lisa Renee Jones Review

I have been anticipating the books about Rick Savage. He was one of the undeveloped characters in the security business that weaves itself through so many of the books that she writes.

He’s rough and gruff and generally seems to always have a bad attitude. But now we know why as Jones peels back the complex layers of his personality just like you would peel an onion.

You definitely need to read book one before diving into this one. And while this story expands a lot deeper into who and the why Rick is who and how he is, it also doesn’t seem to progress very far.

Savage and his girl keep having the same type of conversations. I have to admit that I’m jealous of his complete commitment to her and his absolute all in he gives her.

The story is on fire both in the bedroom and out of the bedroom. Savage is a damn sexy hunk that leaves nothing to the imagination!!

Hot as hell but still more to come in book 3. That’s frustrating but at least we get one more round with the Savage. Jones leaves you wishing this wasn’t pure fiction.
