A delicious, sexy, laugh-out-loud modern romance about a newly single woman and her journey to find love again, from New York Times bestselling author Alice Clayton and debut author Nina Bocci.

Avery Bardot steps off the plane in Rome, looking for a fresh start. She’s left behind a soon-to-be ex-husband in Boston and plans to spend the summer with her best friend Daisy, licking her wounds—and perhaps a gelato or two. But when her American-expat friend throws her a welcome party on her first night, Avery’s thrown for a loop when she sees a man she never thought she’d see again: Italian architect Marcello Bianchi.

Marcello was the man—the one who got away. And now her past is colliding with her present, a present where she should be mourning the loss of her marriage and—hey, that fettuccine is delicious! And so is Marcello…

Slipping easily into the good life of summertime in Rome, Avery spends her days exploring a city that makes art historians swoon, and her nights swooning over her unexpected what was old is new again romance. It’s heady, it’s fevered, it’s wanton, and it’s crazy. But could this really be her new life? Or is it just a temporary reprieve before returning to the land of twin-set cardigans and crustless sandwiches?

A celebration of great friendship, passionate romance, and wonderful food, Roman Crazy is a lighthearted story of second chances and living life to the fullest.

Thoughts about Roman Crazy by Alice Clayton, Nina Bocci

This book. It’s hard to put into words how much I love this book. Second chances are not to be taken lightly. I fell in love with Marcello. Who wouldn’t? A hot Italian man with romance in his heart and who knows how to treat a woman right.

Set in the romantic streets of Rome, you cannot help but fall for the city too. I loved the energy and beauty that the authors crafted with amazing descriptions of people, sights, smells, and tastes. Now I am craving a visit to this enthralling city!

Written with amazing ability to touch every one of your heartstrings, the authors take you through some highs and lows that had an effect on my own emotions. I found myself reading with tears of happiness and a few more fell while holding my breath. Thankfully, we are given amazing HEA that is satisfying but yet not complete; leaving the door open for more to come in the series. And I, for one, cannot wait!

Clayton never fails to deliver on a fabulous story and I am pleased that her co-author and she have given us another one that tells an addicting story of deep love, emotion, and taking a chance. Relatively clean, but loaded with romance that touches your heart and soul, this book is not one you will soon forget. Sigh
