Manhattan’s Most Scandalous Reunion by Dani Collins Review

This story has some great twists! It is a part of a series but totally a stand alone read as well.

The author crafts a story that is so different from the norm. I love that! Two sisters that don’t know the other exists. Nina is chased often by the paparazzi and ends up at her ex’s door. Smart choice except he is an ex for a reason and it takes a while for me to understand that reason.

One of the things that got me about this book is that sometimes it felt like we had to dig through to find the reasons they were not together any more and why everything was an issue for Nina. I had a really hard time with the buy in between these two. It seemed he was way more invested than she was and the author kept fighting with herself between Reve being an Alpha and Nina trying to get her business going and not wanting to need him.

The heat factor was great but the author kept stringing out the fact that they were actually good together. I could not figure out why everything became a fight and it got to be a bit exhausting after a while.

I think the story could have been so much better if Collins had a clearer reason for them to not be together so that when they do find the HEA, it is so much more exciting for the reader. The WOW factor is missing for me.

Overall, Manhattan’s Most Scandalous Reunion is entertaining, brings us several twists, and delivers an easy read. However, I needed more connection, attraction, and burning desire to really grab me.
