The more I age the more I realize I’m still learning stuff about myself. Things that I wish I knew 30 years ago or more.
I wish I knew how hard it was to lose weight when you got older.
I wish I knew about exercise and nutrition like I do now.
It’s All About Balance
One of the main things I am still learning is about balance. I’m not talking about physical balance, which by the way, we really need to work on every day as we age.
I’m talking about our balance in things we love and the things that may not be so good for us.
Now that I don’t cook that much for my husband and I anymore, I’m applying that balance to things like this picture. Eating my veggies with a little bit of my favorite dip, jalapeño and artichoke. So delicious.
It is about balance.
It’s about allowing yourself to enjoy some of the little things in life. A dessert once in a while. An extra slice of pizza. Oh and that amazing bread you get a specialty restaurant.
I’m not one that can do an all or nothing diet for a long time. I am one that is learning how to balance the good with the not so good and yet allow myself the freedom to really enjoy life as a whole.
Like I said, some of the stuff I should’ve known 30 or 40 years ago. I’ve never been a deep thinker. LOL but I’m getting there.
