It’s fun to read books in a series where they have characters that crossover but yet the individual stories are all standalones. I was able to review the final book in the series due to publish later this spring.

A nice historical romance that you will no doubt enjoy! Check out my thoughts below.

ABOUT:
Brina Feld has settled into a life devoted to helping others since the sinking of the Salty Dove left her widowed. She has no need for a man in her contented life. But when the notorious and handsome Lord Blacknight returns and awakens her desires, her peace and serenity vanish. If she agrees to an alliance with him, she knows she will have to battle her heart to keep from being snared under his spell.

Zane, the Earl of Blacknight, was never supposed to inherit the earldom, so he didn’t much care to lead a respectable life before then. Fistfights, card games, and drinking are the order of the day. Now he’s determined to change his rakish ways and he knows the proper lady who can help him. There’s just one problem: He’s already bet he’ll win her hand before the Season is over. With her resolve to out-scheme him, how can he show her that his love is true?

How to Train Your Earl by Amelia Grey Review

In this new release the author creates a great twist to an otherwise typical historical romance. The female character is one of three that were connected through a tragedy we learned about in book one.

With each of the ladies finding their one and only, now it’s time for Brina to find her man. The problem is she is steadfast in her conviction to never remarry. But Zane has different ideas about that! He finds her in a most delightful way and then proceeds to pursue her relentlessly.

The author has the knack to keep her stories so unique and different than the run of the mill. Her characters are deep and emotional with complex layers. You seem to really get to know them on many levels, and more than that, you actually like them!

The story is lively and fun, perfect for the historical romance lover. This is a clean romance with an easy flowing rhythm that grabs your attention and leaves you with a big smile at the end. Grey has captured the essence of Regency romance with a feisty, fabulous story!
