The last few weeks have been crazy busy for me. I shudder to think that the holidays are not even here yet.
Between two events that I put on, teaching, class prep, an early Thanksgiving meal I prepared, I am pooped out. Today I am taking a well deserved day off!
The past few weeks really brought into perspective how much we rely on our body to perform under stressful and physical circumstances. Not only was I mentally tired, several days I was physically exhausted too.
Staying healthy when we are super busy is critical especially with the holidays coming up! Not only do we put ourselves through a lot, but we also want stay healthy when spending time with friends and family.
Here’s some of the things that I am going to do on a regular basis to make sure I have the stamina to make it through these busy holidays.
How to Stay Healthy When You Are Overly Busy
- Take my vitamins and supplements every day
- Drink my greens every day
- Keep healthy snacks on hand such as celery, carrots, berries,and nuts
- Switching from two to three meals to five small meals a day
- Keep my water flowing and stay away from sugary drinks
- Add a bit more cardio to improve my stamina
- Learning to say No when I need to
- Enjoy my rest and downtime even more
- Remember I am blessed and not stressed
