Hero’s Haven by Rebecca Zanetti: Review

Hero's Haven by Rebecca Zanetti cover

It isn’t often that I read a urban fantasy story. However, I needed a change of pace this week so I found this great sounding book that soon to be released and thought I would give it a review.

While this is a part of a series, it was not too difficult to follow. But I’m sure I’ve missed a lot of nuances with the family ties and the overall history of the story. However, it was perfect for that change of pace I was looking for.

Read below for my review.

Synopsis:
He’s her darkest fantasy. . .
After years of struggling, Haven Daly has finally accepted that she’s nuttier than a fruitcake. Why else would she see visions of a beautiful but tormented male every night . . . and actually believe she can talk to him, even feel his touch? But thanks to those dream journeys, she can paint images nobody else on earth can duplicate. In each brush stroke, she captures the blatant masculinity and raw desire in his eyes that promise he’s coming for her…and soon.

She’s the light that keeps him going. . .

Quade Kayrs has already suffered a lifetime of pain and torture. Completely isolated, he kept his sanity thanks to one beautiful female, a vision with kind emerald eyes. In the end, her soft voice led him out of hell. Now, naked and alone, he’s in a strange world that bears little resemblance to the one he left behind. All he knows is Haven. All he wants is Haven. His final mission? To protect her from the evil hunting them both—whether she likes it or not . . .

Hero’s Haven by Rebecca Zanetti Review

Wow! I have to say this book was a great story right from the beginning. Loaded with so much action, it would be tough be to bored.

I loved the intense and immediate connection between Haven and Quade. They were the type of characters that just begged to be understood and their spark and heat just blew up the pages. Intense passion and deep understanding was perfectly written for them alone. Both characters were so unique, I felt it right in my soul.

While this is book number 11, I really did not feel that I needed the other 10 stories to help me understand and enjoy this book. The descriptions and fantasy world Zanetti created was in-depth with fast-paced action throughout the story. It was so hard to put down!

I can totally see why so many readers are addicted to this series. Between the hot men and the heated action of all types, this is a book that leaves you craving more! I might just have to pick up a few more in this series!
