3 day weekends are great for awesome eating. We usually find a reason to have some sort of Barbecue or family get-together. At least we do here!
But all of that awesome eating can certainly hamper our eating plan. especially if you happen to be on a restrictive diet.
Good Eats for Memorial Day
With the three-day weekend like Memorial Day falling at the beginning of warm temperatures, we normally look to cookouts and fun outdoor gatherings. In fact, we are planning a small block party with our neighbors. But what to eat can be a tough one.
Here is a great option to bring or have at your table. An assortment of greens and veggies is a perfect way to lessen the guilt that may surround a beer or some potato salad you may want to enjoy.
Just add your meat, shredded, to the top of your salad and enjoy the cookout flavor with loads of greens. Plus, you will most likely not be the only one that will appreciate this addition to the table!
Making smart choices is the best way to be able to enjoy the meals with others and yet still stay within your eating guidelines. No matter if it is for a weekend holiday or other special occasion, plan out what you can eat for a successful meal.
