Have you ever read a book that was so compelling and gripping you could not put it down? Those types of authors that can write in that manner are few and far between.

Luckily, I get the job of reviewing an author and his upcoming book who knows how to write that compelling copy and can grab your senses, leaving you wondering what just happened.

Releasing this summer, check out my thoughts on this slightly dark and twisted story.

OVERVIEW:
Sisters. Soulmates. Strangers.

Molly Raven lives a quiet, structured life in London, finding comfort in security and routine. Her identical twin Katie, living in New York, is the exact opposite: outgoing, spontaneous, and adventurous.

But when Molly hears that Katie has died, possibly murdered, she is thrown into unfamiliar territory. As terrifying as it is, she knows she must travel across the ocean and find out what happened. But as she tracks her twin’s final movements, cracks begin to emerge, and she slowly realizes her sister was not who she thought she was and there’s a dangerous web of deceit surrounding the two of them.

First Born by Will Dean Review

Last year, I had the pleasure of reading another book by this author that was a dark and creepy psychological thriller that really messed with my head. But I had to keep reading!

So I knew what was coming with this book, or I thought.

Dean writes stories that are not what they seem. You start out with the story going one way, waiting for the twist. Waiting and waiting. Then when it hits, you are thinking, WHAT? From there, it takes off.

This story is loaded with turns and spins that will keep you on your toes throughout. I really enjoy the pacing and the subtle hints. The way he keeps the reader off-balance is awesome. He caught me totally off guard in several places.

The ending is really a trip and so unexpected. A must-read for those that enjoy a twisted, psychological story written with depth and a dab of crazy!

5 STARS!
