Farmers Market Finds for March - A Midlife Wife

It’s been a while since I took a trip to the farmers market. With this crazy weather and the fact that I haven’t been juicing fresh veggies in a while (soon to be rectified!), I really hadn’t had the need to check it out.

However, with my refreshed desire to get my butt busy and healthier again, I headed over to my local organic farmers market this morning. It was very small because we are in the middle of winter and there are only so many things that you can grow.

The farmers offered an abundance of greens, such as different varieties of lettuce, broccoli, cabbages, raisins from the grape guy, varieties of citrus, and my personal favorite, radishes. So of course I could not let those get by me.

So I scooped up the last three bunches of these amazing and delicious Easter variety radishes. Gloriously colorful and crisp with a bite of delicious taste, perfect for snacking. Plus, I also added some fresh lemons since my lemon tree didn’t produce very good ones this year. Perfect for making lemon water each morning.

It should only be another few weeks or month or so before we start seeing more harvests, at least here in California. The weather has been warming up a little here and there but many of the spring crops are in the ground.

Can’t wait to see what comes up in the next few weeks. Do you live in an area where the farmers can produce some type of crops all year round? Share some farmers market finds with me below.
