Filmed in a picturesque garden overlooking the Pacific Ocean, these two dynamic programs are designed to improve cardio conditioning, build strength and tone the whole body.

The Cardio Program links together short holds of Hatha poses with several Vinyasa flows to help keep the heart rate elevated, increase blood flow and stimulate a healthy metabolism. The Vinyasa flows can build strength and flexibility, while the Hatha poses focus on developing strong, proper posture and balanced alignment.

The Conditioning Program combines standing and floor poses specifically selected to strengthen major muscle groups, firm the core and sculpt some of the often overlooked smaller muscle groups. Together, these two programs can help you experience the real difference that yoga conditioning can make both in the way that you look and in the way that you feel.

My Thoughts on Element Yoga Cardio & Conditioning

Earlier this year, I shared a wonderful Beginners Yoga DVD from Alanna and today I want to share my thoughts on this new release.

One of the things that I enjoy about Alanna’s DVD’s is that she slowly walks you through the sequences so you know what she is doing at all times. Her voice is so soothing and the music is calming and beautiful to listen to. ou can just feel yourself relax to make the moves easier to do.

The dvd starts with the Cardio section. This works on flowing a series of movement and repetition which works to increase and keep your heart rate up. Alanna works on flow and the ability to move with your breathe to improve oxygen intake and circulation, blood flow and eventually increased metabolism. This flow builds strength, flexibility and a healthy posture.

The Conditioning section work on building strength and targeted toning, power and conditioning. She includes both standing and floor work that helps tone, strengthen and firm your core plus sculpt your muscle groups. This works on you mind and body so you feel better overall.

Alanna also includes a Meditation section. This 20 minute session helps work on your strength for mind and body and includes her “I am” statements for mental strength and positive thoughts. So peaceful and relaxing! This is a great one to do anytime you need to let go and be a peace.

The DVD is a workout that is great for any level. With modifications, even a beginner can do these poses and start to develop their strength. Strong is sexy, no matter your age. This DVD can help you develop those forgotten muscles again and help you sculpt and get that lean look you love.
