I posted the other day a review about a new release from this author, but it was for book two in the series. So the publisher was kind enough to allow me to read and review book number one.

One thing to note is you can definitely read these as standalone‘s, although there are characters that do show up in each of the stories. This was a fun and kind of wacky story with loads of spice and heat. Check out my review below.

OVERVIEW:
Sometimes the only answer is to just bang it out.

Like today, for example. I’m in actual hell at my sister’s over-the-top reality TV wedding and up until now, I’ve been able to handle it all. The horrible bridesmaids. My relentless mother. Even the awful eighties fashion to fit the retro theme. But when my sister nonchalantly mentioned that she never even wanted me at the wedding—the producers insisted—ouch doesn’t fully express how much it hurts.

So for the first time I don’t think. I just do. And as a shy paleontologist who plans everything, I probably should have taken a moment.

But here we are.

I’ve just asked the best man, who my sister absolutely loathes and who can’t stand her right back, if he’s up for a little naked revenge with me. The cameras are filming every horrifying second, and the whispers have begun. (Did I mention that the music happened to stop just as I asked him?)

But then his mouth quirks up, and he does the last thing I expect.

Anger Bang by Avery Flynn Review

This author is notorious for telling it like it is and unashamedly allows her characters to experience life. YAY

The characters are varied and multi-layered. At some points, they are ridiculous and have bridezilla breakdowns. At other points, they are doing a throwback 80’s nightmare wedding for likes and views. They unpack a lot of stuff!

Our main characters enjoy what they lovingly call anger bangs. Hot and heavy connections tend to backfire on them.

Flynn lets her imagination go with the story, and while it’s not heavy and deep, I found it to be a great diversion read. Sometimes we need that in our lives!

Anger Bang is a funny, wild story about a farce of a wedding, ditching your crazy siblings and family, and standing up for yourself.

Was it a perfect story? No, but I think it is meant to be a light-hearted, steamy story about having fun and finding love when you stop looking, despite it all!!

4 STARS!
