This website has become a journey of sorts, showcasing my attempt to become a more healthier person overall. With that there are many aspects of changes that I’ve had to make. One of which was how I did my work since I mainly work from home.
When I decided I was done being unhealthy one of the first changes I did was to start standing while working. I had documented a few updates over the last year and a half but I realized that I hadn’t shown you my new office.
Last October, or maybe it was September, we had a flood in the house. One of the rooms that was damaged that needed to be gutted was my office. So I took advantage of that and had my husband build me the desk I wanted.
This desk is a built-in so it takes less room. It has two sections. One seated area that can handle two workstations and the second area is the standing desk area. I had it made to my exact height specifications so it is comfortable to use.
I’m still decorating and organizing my office so this is definitely a work in progress. I still have a few boxes to deal with and pictures to hang, etc. I also need to find just the right chair. But it still functional since I mainly use the standing area.
Getting used to standing for hours at a time was a bit difficult. But it is so worth it in the long run! I just love my new workstation with standing desk!
