I don’t know if I can take much more emotion in a book review this week! Three back to back emotional romances and I am capping it off with the most heartbreaking one yet, albeit a wisp of hope is woven through.
I am so excited to share my thoughts on this new release from Staci Hart. Fair Warning! This book will not only capture your heart, it may even leave it a bit worse for wear. Check out my thoughts and review of:

Sometimes your life is split by a single decision.
I’ve spent every day of the last seven years regretting mine: he left, and I didn’t follow. A thousand letters went unanswered, my words like petals in the wind, spinning away into nothing, taking me with them.
But now he’s back.
I barely recognize the man he’s become, but I can still see a glimmer of the boy who asked me to be his forever, the boy I walked away from when I was young and afraid.
Maybe if he’d come home under better circumstances, he could speak to me without anger in his voice. Maybe if I’d said yes all those years ago, he’d look at me without the weight of rejection in his eyes. Maybe if things were different, we would have had a chance.
One regretted decision sent him away. One painful journey brought him back to me. I only wish I could keep him.
*A contemporary romance inspired by Jane Austen’s Persuasion*
Review of A Thousand Letters by Staci Hart
This book drained me. From the tears I shed, to the emotional highs and lows, I had a book hangover after finishing this story.
Loaded with amazing prose and poems, you get everything in this book. Intense love, anger, jealousy, pain, anguish, fear, regret, happiness, and love. It is a roller coaster of a ride that is simply unforgettable.
The two main characters are flawed in many ways. Wade is angry and unforgiving yet his heart cries out for Elliot (a female). He has hidden away from home for seven years so as to not face the truth. Regret is his best friend.
Elliot is weak. Stuck in a holding pattern without the luxury of moving on. She is waiting for Wade; his forgiveness and love. Without it, she is just existing. But then he comes home and the story begins.
This book is mainly about the deep emotional connection between two people that are forever connected. While it is a love story, it is light on the physical attachment and heavy in the feelings and deep emotions. It is moving, beautiful, and definitely a tear-jerker.
But honestly, I would not have missed this amazing read for the world. Staci Hart ups the ante with this amazing story. Books like these are few and far between! A Thousand Letters by Staci Hart is definitely a 5 star review and one of my favorites this year! Keep the tissues handy, however!
