I love to make fast and easy meals. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t, especially on a super busy day. Sitting down to a delicious meal that is already prepared for you is awesome. That is why so many people cannot live without their slow cooker. And I have to admit, I am one of them!
My family are big meat eaters and I love coming up with quick recipes that highlight the taste of the meat and yet are so darn good, you just cannot get enough. Pork is a favorite of ours and country style ribs are a great cut, especially for the slow cooker or a dutch oven. Thick and meaty, these ribs are just made for slow cooking. They come out fall apart tender and amazing.
Here is the easiest recipe ever!
Easy Slow Cooker Country Style Ribs Recipe
Ingredients:
4-5 pounds of thick country style ribs
Sweet Baby Rays BBQ Sauce or your favorite one
Directions:
In a slow cooker, squirt some BBQ sauce in the bottom of the pot. Layer in your ribs on top of the sauce. Add a healthy serving of BBQ sauce on the top. Not all of the meat needs to be coated and you do not have to add it between the layers of meat.
Cover and set on high for 8 hours. You can flip the meat half way through if you want to. The heat of the cooker will add the necessary moisture and condensation to mix with the BBQ sauce and create the perfect ribs.
Serve with mashed potatoes and veggies or whatever you choose.
STOVE TOP DIRECTIONS
I also make this on the stove when I forget to get the slow cooker going. Simply use a large dutch oven or tall sauce pot with a lid. Place it on medium low heat and cook for several hours with the lid on. You do need to stir it often as the sugars will burn.
I hope you enjoy this Easy Slow Cooker Country Style Ribs recipe. It is a favorite of mine and my family too!
