New Yarn Obsession for a Moss Stitch Blanket

I have a new obsession and that’s not always a good thing.

I saw this crocheted blanket on Pinterest, one of my favorite places to hang out. (If you’re not following me there, you should!) But anyway, the colors in this blanket just popped and called my name.

So I had to hunt down the yarn and let me tell you it is gorgeous.

New Yarn Obsession for a Moss Stitch Blanket

It is a Hobby lobby brand called Yarn Bee Soft and Sleek. The name of this one is Tropical Tiki. And let me tell you it is so easy to work with!

The strands don’t separate easily so you’re not fighting the yarn by catching your hook in between which is awesome. It kind of reminds me of a cord. But it’s definitely not thick yarn like you would use to make handbag or something similar.

It works up so beautifully. I have a hard time making myself stop working on it because it’s just such a beautiful yarn to work with.

I have to say I am obsessed right now and I’m making this blanket for myself. Yes, another blanket. Have you seen my others? Here is the green and the blue, both worked in a V-Stick Double Crochet. LOVE

I am self-taught and I don’t follow patterns very well, but I have a couple other projects that I have my eye on, but I would have to learn how to count. lol

But anyway, this is using the Moss Stitch and it is super simple for beginners. I’m using the pattern from Daisy Craft Farms on YouTube, but it’s basically a Single crochet with a variation and, oh my gosh, I’m in love.

Anyway, what do you think? It this a color choice you would make?
