A Juicing Reset and Recipe

I think most people are in tune enough with their body that they can tell when something’s just not right.

Maybe you feel sluggish or you have no energy. Maybe your skin is dull and your hair lifeless. Maybe you’re getting random aches and pains.

I know for me, a few of these issues have been popping up, and I just really want to get back to feeling on top of my game.

Many years ago, I was in a horrible place, and I completely reversed my health and lost 60 pounds along the way by juicing. I shared many, many of my juicing tips and recipes here on this blog. My skin was amazing, and I felt really good.

I want that back.

I’ve restarted and stopped juicing here and there, but I really want to get back to doing it at a minimum 3 to 4 times a week.

A Juicing Reset and Recipe

Now, what does juicing mean to me?

Basically, the way I choose to huice is with veggies, not fruit and yogurt. I use a Nutribullet to extract as much as possible out of the skin and everything else. I’m wasting nothing like you do when you use a juice press.

So that’s my plan and my goal.

Here’s a concoction from this week that I’ll list the ingredients below. Give it a shot. Mine are delicious.

Easy Green Juice Recipe

In a large Nutribullet cup:

  • Handful of carrots, sliced
  • one rib celery, chunked
  • 1/3 cucumber, sliced
  • One small apple, sliced, or half a medium apple, sliced
  • Handful of broccoli slaw.
  • Handful of fresh spinach
  • Half a cup pineapple pieces
  • Add some of the juice to the bottom of the cup
  • Fill to the line with filtered water.

Do not overfill the cup; blend for up to a minute until smooth.

This makes almost 32 ounces of juice. I drink all of that in one go, but you can split it into half in the morning and half in the evening.

NOTE:
This does not taste “green“ because of the little bit of fruit a touch of sweetness, plenty of fiber, and wonderful nutrients
