This time of year my skin really suffers. The older I get the drier my skin becomes. Right now, my face itches and is flaky. I hate this!
Several years ago I tried some facial oil that really made a bit of difference in my skin. Since then I have kept a bottle of oil in my arsenal at all times for this time of year specifically.
Right now, I have this Anastasia Facial Oil that I have been using. I have to admit, it is not a favorite of mine but it helps reduce the itch and flakes that this weather is giving me this week.
This oil is a bit thinner than others I have used. While it absorbs quickly, I have found that it does not leave my skin overly soft and touchable like a $10 oil I used to use. I rated it 3 stars on ULTA.
So I am on the hunt for another brand. Believe it or not, there are so many different types out there. I am having a tough time finding the right oil blends for my skin but I have a few I am going to try that offer a combination of some of the oils listed below.
Best Facial Oils for Mature Skin
From my research these are the best oils for facial skin:
- Coconut Oil
- Olive Oil
- Jojoba Oil
- Sunflower Oil
- Almond Oil
- Rose Hip Oil
- Grapeseed Oil
There are many oils that focus on only one type of oil or another. Or maybe a combination of 3 oils.
I have it narrowed down to try either DERMA E Anti-Wrinkle, Provence C + H, or Palmers Coconut Oil which actually contains 9 different types of oils. That one is only $11! (I think I am going for that one first!)
Do you use face oils in your beauty routine? Which one do you swear by?
I have had people tell me it is gross, but actually, a good face oil naturally cleans your face and pores, making them smaller, and is not drying as some soaps can do. I can attest to that!
That reminds me, I need to tell you all about my soap obsession next!!
