I have to say most of us have never experienced anything like what’s going on in our country before in our lifetime. And I say most of us because some of our older citizens have experienced World War II and the aftermath and still may be with us to share their experiences.
Staying in the house for months at a time has done real harm to my body. I’m used to walking a lot during my job and now that my job is moved to my home, I’m finding myself hardly getting enough movement in.
Fighting the Quarantine 15
Yes, it’s my fault. Totally. I have lost all motivation. Until I got on the scale the other day. Talk about the quarantine 15. It was getting close.
So I’m back to trying to get into a routine. I have modified my diet yet again. For me, I think it’s just easier to stay as low to zero meat as possible. I also am kind of managing my carbs to be only whole pure carbs. Nothing refined as best I can.
I’m also trying to stop eating late in the evening and have been relying on my protein shakes for the last Few days. I find when I eat before five or six, I really can lose some weight. My body just metabolizes the food so slow.
I just feel so out of shape and out of breath trying to walk so I’m gonna hit my trampoline again and get on my recumbent bike and see if I can just get some stamina back.
Believe in You
The good news is I’m off for the next two weeks from my main job so I’m hoping that I can take these two weeks and really focus on me. Believing in me and the fact that I can make a difference.
I’m gonna try to journal and definitely schedule in my exercise every day. That really helped me in the past and just restart.
Are you struggling with the quarantine 15? What have you been doing to help change your motivation and keep the weight off while stuck in the house?
