The other day I introduced you to a new eating plan that I was checking out. It’s based on intermittent fasting (IF) and basically eating one meal a day.
I know a lot of people are saying What the Heck!? But let me just say, it’s a gigantic meal!
So I went on this plan and thought I would give it a try. It sounded so doable. So why not? The first three days are a gigantic salad, a hot meal with vegetables and protein for day two, and then the third day is a gigantic salad again.
3 Day Update on My Ridiculously Big Salad Plan
I have to say it went wonderful. It’s actually a relief to not have to think about what I’m going to eat and what I’m going to make for dinner.
I’ve cooked my husband dinner and it was no issue. I’ve pushed past the hunger pains which were mild actually and I feel great.
It’s funny to say but after just a few days of clearing out the crud I have more energy and I feel a lot better about myself overall.
This picture is my Day Three salad. It is in a medium size mixing bowl. Yes, it’s massive but it’s actually small in comparison to what some people eat on this plan. I cannot eat that much.
I’m really encouraged by it and I’m gonna keep going. I have goals. I want to be able to move around and travel without being uncomfortable. I don’t want to feel people staring at me because I’m so big. I just want to live life and enjoy it doing the things I love to do but stopped because of my weight.
So if it takes eating once a day one gigantic meal, I’m down for that. God knows I hate cooking any more anyway!
Oh, and did I mention I lost 4.5 pounds in those 3 days. Day 4 today – down 1 more pound. YES!
If you’re interested you should check out Amanda Rose and the Eat Like a Bear plan. I love it. And I’m encouraged by all of the success they’re having. It’s amazing!
