Earlier this month I shared with you a beautiful devotional by Joyce Meyer that was released. If you follow me regularly, you know I love devotionals and therefore I am very excited to share with you two others that have come out just in time for gift giving this holiday.
These devotionals are special because you can give them to anyone on your list. Just a few minutes a day reading these and praying can change the whole perspective of your day.
Yearly Devotionals for Gift Giving
The first one is quite unique and I love the concept. What a Great Word by Karen Moore is a book of daily devotions focusing on a single word of the day. The concept is that you’re able to focus on just one word that strengthens our faith and to see God at work in your life.
You’ll see 365 different words that we can focus in on and pray about. Words such as harmony, shoes, apple, talk, kindness, dust, and other seemingly random words. But these words are not simply random. They are tied to a verse that we can focus on and relate to as we go through our day.
What a Great Word is unique, smart, focused, and perfect for anyone. Especially someone new to their faith or struggling with belief. I love this book and will be giving one to a special person in my life.
The second book is Daily Readings From All Things Are Working for Your Good by Joel Osteen.
This small book is packed with 365 positive devotions and prayers that help us stay focused and on track no matter what life brings us! Issues at work or in our personal lives can be realigned with the positive message and bible verses in this devotional.
It’s easy to find yourself thinking negatively but starting your day with is powerful message is bound to redirect and uplift your heart.
Joel Osteen is right on target with the focus and delivery of this important devotional. I know a few young people that will be getting this one in their stockings!
