This weekend I was totally bored so I convinced my husband needed to get out of the house. I didn’t want to go to far because it was so hot out so we decided to head up the hills to the old mining town called Mariposa.
Located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, it’s just another 30 to 45 minutes to Yosemite Valley. Since we were so close, we decided to go ahead and head into the park.
I was a little nervous because it was a Sunday afternoon and in July which means that the park was probably going to be packed. Thankfully when we got up there it wasn’t bad at all. It was glorious day with bright blue sky. It was very hot on the valley floor ranging in the mid 90s.
So we just decided to drive around and see some of the sights and what we could get to easily. I was happy to see the water is still flowing had a good amount so I grabbed a bunch of shots of the amazing waterfalls that you can see coming off the mountains.
Here are some that you can enjoy. If you ever get a chance to visit California and the central valley, make sure to stop by the park. It’s amazing!
