Twisted Little Games by Lane Hart: Review

cover for Twisted Little Games by Lane Hart

I enjoy a well-written mafia romance, and this one looked intriguing! As the first book I’ve read by this author, I ended up diving into book 3! But the author made it pretty easy to follow along, as it seems a lot of it is focusing on one main character at a time.

Tristan is someone you will want to read about, and I am happy I started with him! Check my review below for this new release.

OVERVIEW:
In a deadly game of lies, lust, and survival, the rules are simple: trust no one…

I’ve built my career on taking down criminals, not falling into their beds. But Tristan Ferraro isn’t just any criminal. When the mob enforcer obtains damning secrets that would destroy my reputation, I have no choice but to play his twisted game. What begins as blackmail quickly spirals into something far more dangerous.

Tristan’s obsession goes beyond leverage. He’s determined to make me his while pulling me into his morally gray world. And after two brutal attacks in a single week, the man who I considered my enemy is now the only one standing between me and a bullet. Despite the danger surrounding us, Tristan is fully committed to keeping me safe. I don’t know if I’ll survive the bullseye on my back. I just know that I won’t survive without him.

Twisted Little Games by Lane Hart Review

One of the main things that keeps me invested as a reader is the dynamics and relationship between the love interests, and this one does not disappoint!

Their chemistry was awesome – so steamy and hot! Hart delivers with their characterization, balancing each other. Kirstin is black and white and is all about the law. Tristan discovers her secrets and becomes one of them, too. The family dynamics are interesting as Tristan has things to hide from them now that he is falling for her and is determined to protect her.

I love their banter and building connections. However, as the title suggests, this is a twisted story. Parts did seem a bit stilted with the writing and didn’t flow for me. Thankfully, their personal steam and story made up for so much!

Twisted Little Games is a part of a series that you should probably read first. I will definitely read more from this author!
