I was so excited to be able to take off for a few days and head to Southern California over spring break. It had been several years since I was there and we decided to head over to check out a college my son is interested in attending in the fall. One of the places we stopped was Long Beach and enjoyed the beautiful marina area. With the amazing personal watercraft docked there, one ship stands out and that is the infamous Queen Mary.
The RMS Queen Mary sailed from 1936 to 1967 and was retired to Long Beach. It is now a tourist destination that offers a hotel, restaurants, and a museum. The Queen Mary is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a cool thing to see and visit when in Southern California.
