When you start a low-carb diet, it can sometimes be difficult to figure out what to eat. Removing and reducing entire food groups means that you are restricting the foods you love and will have to learn to supplement with foods you need to learn to love. That’s why I was really glad that I started making my changes by juicing.
When I thought about all of the dietary changes I as going to have to make, it kind of freaked me out. That’s why I actually sat down and figured out the best way to transition without a lot of pain. I wanted to be successful! It was important and critical for me to stay on track.
Here are some thoughts on my transition to low carb eating.
How to Transition to Low Carb Eating Easily
Transitioning your food can be difficult. By starting with juicing first, it got me in the habit of eating more greens and vegetables. The juicing took away my cravings and gave me a ton of health benefits as well. I felt good and that helped me stay on track while transitioning to the low-carb diet.
Now on the weekends, I enjoy hitting up the farmer’s markets to see what I can find for my juicing during the week. I get fresh and even organic products to support my healthy lifestyle changes and you may even save some money too! When you juice and eat as many veggies as I do, saving money is a good thing.
This vegetable stand is one that I frequent as much as possible. I think it’s hilarious that now it makes me happy to see all these fresh greens and other vegetables. I tend to think about what is going to juice well and then I supplement that with salad and side dishes as an afterthought.
If you are thinking about making some lifestyle and dietary changes and are not sure where to start, think about juicing first. It will help you transition easily and take away those cravings that can sometimes trip you up. Plus, you get to visit cool veggie stands just like this one!
