Tips to Keep Your Beauty Routine Simple Yet Effective

I am not the type of person that spends a ton of time on my makeup routine. I have learned how to simplify my process over the years. I admit, since I work at home, I leave most of my makeup off unless I am going out to an appointment and mainly focus on my skin care routine. Even so, over the years I have streamlined my beauty care to become simple and effective for me. If you find yourself taking a long time on your routine, here are some of my tips you might find useful. * Find products that work well and use them over and over. I have become loyal to brands and products that work well for my skin and face. By not trying new products over and over, I am not wasting time or money on things that may or may not work. * Start with skin care and care for it daily. If you have not yet started any skin care routine besides soap and water, it may be time to add in a moisturizer, even if you have oily skin. Find the right one for your skin type and use it daily. It will reduce the amount of issues you will want to, or need to work on later in life. * Always remove makeup at night before bed and apply a nice moisturizer. It will help your skin as it rests and repairs while you are sleeping. That makes for nicer skin overall. * In the mornings, start with any treatments first. Once you have cleaned your face, apply any treatments you need to add to your face first. This would include things like Vitamin C serum, Anti-Aging Serums, under eye treatments, etc. If you use sunscreen daily on your face, apply it first, then treatments. * Your Moisturizer goes secondly. Allow your treatment to set for a few moments and apply your moisturizer. * While that is setting up – apply your mascara * If foundation is used, now is when that is applied and then finish your eyes – shadow, liners, etc. * Finish with a setting spray or powder, if you choose. Boom, Out the door! I can do my skin care and makeup in 5 minutes flat. It works for me! During the weekend, I will spend more time on exfoliating, hair removal and things like that but the weekdays are busy and so am I. Hope this helps you!
