The Gift of Fitness

It’s amazing what people will do for you if they truly believe in you.

My husband and I were very humbled this past week by a neighbor of ours. He’s a good friend and my husband and he have become pretty close in the past year that they live next door.

Anyone who looks at us can see our struggle with fitness and health. It’s pretty obvious that we are overweight and my husband uses the wheelchair most of the time so he definitely struggles with fitness.

Over the years we have gone through several pieces of equipment in hopes that we can keep our strength up and stay in shape. One of the best pieces my husband liked the most was a Bowflex. Easy to use and great for targeting specific muscles.

Our neighbor came with his son to help fix our garage door opener and he and my husband were talking about fitness. The next thing we know his son and he were rolling a Bowflex over into our garage.

He literally gave us his Bowflex! Who does that?

I am thrilled since I had to get rid of my gym last year. I think I’m going to clean out my spare bedroom and bring it inside so we can use it anytime without excuses about the heat.

I am stunned and humbled with the fact that someone cares enough to do something like that. The only way I can think of paying him back is by using the darn thing and showing him some long term results.

Amazing! God works in wonderful ways!
