Spring is Springing

I have to say that I feel lucky to live to live in a state with amazing weather most of the year. We get awfully spoiled around here sometimes!

California has been home to me for over 45 years. The weather can be super hot, but we also get snow in certain areas. It can be freezing at night, and we will be sweating during the day. We get lots of rain in many areas and no rain in others.

This year has been rather moderate. We did not get a ton of rain like we did last year and very few nights below freezing. Regardless of our winter months, Spring is on the way right on time.

February and March are beautiful months where I live as the trees start blooming and the allergies really kick in! But blooming trees like this Fruitless Plum in my front yard reminds me that everything has a cycle and that is always evident when the Almond trees start to bloom in February. Soon they will be bursting with their harvest like all of the other flowering trees.

For those is the frozen northern areas, I hope this flash of spring makes you smile!
