The great thing about this eating plan is that even if you fall off, the way back on it is so easy.
Hi, I’m Chris and I have been following the Eat Like a Bear plan for quite a while now. I have been bouncing back and forth lately. I am down about 40lbs and I am dedicating myself to really shut everything out and get this weight off!
The good this is that this eating plan, using the Ridiculously Big Salad makes it so easy to whip up meals because you can really meal prep, throw everything together, and just eat!
If you are new, here are a few things I have learned.
Ridiculously Big Salad Tips
1. Meal Prep!
Cook the meat ahead. Clean the veggies and bag them or buy everything pre-packaged. Be prepared. It is when we are not that we make other choices.
2. Keep Your Eating Window Short
It can be a challenge to get to a 1-hour eating window, but try to tighten it as much as possible. Start with 6, then go to 4 hours. The longer the fasting, the better your system will clean out and use the body fat.
3. It Does Get Easier!
As with anything, the first few days can be tough. Your body could go through the Keto Flu. It is like food withdrawals. Your body is flushing out chemicals and the yucky stuff.
4. Water is Your Friend!
Try not to use flavoring drops or anything with sugar, but if you need to, then make it 90% water and a splash of whatever you are cutting it with. I use diet tea to get a bit of flavor sometimes.
5. Make Sure to Supplement
Your body will need Magnesium and a good overall vitamin – upgrade to the good stuff – not from the drug store, if possible. You will need B Complex and possibly Potassium. Do check with your doctor and get blood work every so often to make sure you are doing well.
6. Give Yourself Grace
Don’t give up! I keep telling myself, this is the healthiest and easiest way I have changed my eating in forever! The family can enjoy it along with their other foods.
7. Every Restaurant Has Salads
Love to eat out? No excuses using this plan!
8. Mix It Up
You don’t have to make your salads the same day in and day out. If you keep enough choices on hand, you will never get bored of this food.
9. Eating This Way Gives You Control
That is the truth!
10. Season Your Food
Really. The Meat. The Veggies. It helps!
I could think of more, but here are some of the salads and hot meals I have been eating lately. The one above includes bacon too! PS – It was hamburger prep week!
